Artist Statement:
Peace is found floating on ocean waves and drawing lines that surge and swell, knot and tangle, giving order to the disorderly world. Named for Whitman's 'The World Below The Brine', this piece aspires to the transcendence of the whale that Whitman conjures.
Artist Biography:
Groeber is an artist/educator living in South Hamilton. A graduate of Yale, BA, and of MICA, MFA, she has shown her prints, paintings, and mixed media work throughout New England and as part of the Essex Collective www.essexartcollective.com. You can find her on Instagram at jengroeber.
