Artist Statement:

This year, I am decorating my codfish with a design inspired by Portuguese tile. The pattern of tiles, decorated with fish and ocean waves, replaces the characteristic markings of a fish. I have named my fish Bonita Bacalhau which means Pretty Codfish in Portuguese.

Artist Biography:

I am a member of Porter Mills Studios in Beverly, MA, and Galatea Fine Art in Boston. I studied art at Southern Colorado State College and the University of Colorado at Boulder. Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 12 from 12-3 and July 13 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.

If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.

If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
