Artist Statement:

Created from a metal basket, soft black buffalo leather, gold lame, a wooden cod, individually hand-sculpted cods painted with liquid gold leaf, hung on golden chains on a USB port, 3 temperature light: providing an elegant lighting feature, giving homage to Marblehead's past lucrative cod industry.

Artist Biography:

Heather has lived in Marblehead with her husband and family for over thirty years. She creates in many mediums, with sculpture, woodwork, painting, and jewelry making being her current focus. As a former naval architect and living in this beautiful town, she often draws to the sea for inspiration.

Item Special Note

Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 12 from 12-3 and July 13 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.

If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.

If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
