Artist Statement:
This painting honors Children's Island's rich history-from its 17th-century origins as Cat Island, a sheep grazing ground, to its roles as a smallpox inoculation site, a resort, and a sanitarium for children. Today, it thrives as a YMCA summer camp, fostering youth connection with nature.

Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 12 from 12-3 and July 13 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
