Artist Statement:

04/18/1775: Paul Revere-eyes fixed on Old North Church's steeple-two lanterns flicker two if by sea. No time to admire Boston's twilight he races to Lexington under a gibbous moon to warn Adams and Hancock the British are coming! His mission: speed, secrecy, and freedom's call across the Charles.

Artist Biography:

Gregg Hanscom, an artist, writer mental fitness coach, lives in Marblehead Orrington, ME, with his life partner Tonya Taskey Nye. He returns to MFoA with his poetry and cod art, happy that his 2024 and 2025 cods-his only artwork ever sold-benefit the Festival and this fishy celebration of creativity!

Item Special Note

Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 12 from 12-3 and July 13 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.

If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.

If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
