"Blue Mourning" is a love letter to the beauty and melancholy of the artist's favourite bird, the mourning dove. Alexandra is the award-winning picture book illustrator of "On a Mushroom Day" by Chris Baker (2024). She is currently working on several picture books, two of which will be published later this year: "Gather Grateful" by Megan Litwin (Candlewick Press), and "I Am We" by Leslie Barnard Booth (Chronicle Books).

« Blue Mourning » est une déclaration d’amour à la beauté et à la mélancolie de l’oiseau favori de l’artiste, la tourterelle triste. Alexandra est l’illustratrice primée du livre d’images « On a Mushroom Day » de Chris Baker (2024). Elle travaille actuellement sur plusieurs livres d’images, dont deux qui seront publiés plus tard cette année, « Gather Grateful » de Megan Litwin (Candlewick Press) et « I Am We » de Leslie Barnard Booth (Chronicle Books).

Alexandra has illustrated several picture books and lives with her husband, two cats, and a gecko in Kingston, Canada
