A friend of mine says there is a lull in conversation around every half hour. Whether you know your company well or not at all, it’s impossible to dodge the inevitable lull. Bask in the thick silence for a bit or exhaust yourself trying to outrun it.

Une connaissance dit qu’à chaque demi-heure environ, il y a une trêve dans la conversation. Que l’on se connaisse bien, ou non, il est impossible d’éviter cette pause. On peut soit savourer un instant ce lourd silence ou s’épuiser à tenter de le fuir.
Item Special Note
someshi_idid blurs the illusion of separation between the subject of the painting and the viewer. Using hands and other elements that act as extensions of the onlooker, the strangely familiar scenes wrap around them. She's pulled toward the pangs of isolation and unease that we try to escape.
someshi_idid brouille l’illusion de distinction entre le sujet de l’œuvre et ses témoins. Alors que la scène, étrangement familière, enceint le public, les mains et autres éléments détaillés amplifient le champ de portée de l’œuvre. Ainsi, la figure dépeinte paraît entraînée vers les tourments de l’isolation et du malaise que nous tentons de fuir.
