The Big Sister Best Friend
The BSBF is our signature session. This mentorship session is offered both virtually and in person. During a BSBF session, we spend time doing exactly what we are here to do- create a relationship with your child and provide guidance and mentorship. The BSBF provides a positive adult role model with Mental Health Counseling experience, develop's trust and friendship, is a confidant, and offers educated advice. We also provide conflict resolution skill development, which fosters ways of resolving differences with peers, friends and family, through learned communication and an understanding of perspective. A myriad of topics, skills and strategies are covered in this session. We are experienced in depression, anxiety, trauma, lack of motivation, and are familiar with the typical school aged challenges.
Educational Therapy and Tutoring
Big Sister Best Friend offers academic assistance for kids of all ages. Whether your child struggles with completing homework assignments, or staying focused in the classroom, we are here to help. Within a virtual or in person session, we can provide academic motivation and discuss strategies to increase academic performance.

Independently Me
During an Independently Me session, we teach executive function and self-regulation skills. By learning these skills, kids are able to increase their attention, ability to plan, multi-task, set and achieve goals and more. Having learned self-regulation and executive function skills enable positive behavior and allow us to make healthy choices, which provide lifelong benefits. Independently Me also focuses on general independent life skills that are used both at home and in school. This session can be done in person or virtually.

Adventure Time 1
Adventure Time 1 is time spent in person with an individual, which we view as "less forced mentorship" and a more natural approach to getting to know your child. During Adventure Time 1, we engage in culturally diverse activities which fosters self-esteem, a passion for life-long learning and appreciation for culture and traditions.

Adventure Time 2
Similar to Adventure Time 1, we are spending quality care with an individual in a less forced session setting. However, Adventure Time 2 is an at home version where we engage in activities such as cooking, doing art, playing specific games, and other fun things that allow us to connect with your child.
