Evan Funke
Evan Funke is a culinary storyteller, a custodian of Italian tradition and a master of the old world techniques of handmade pasta. Funke’s singular passion as a pasta maker and chef was solidified in Bologna, under the mentorship of Alessandra Spisni at La Vecchia Scuola Bolognese. Evan brings nearly two decades of excellence to Gusto 54 in their first international venture on Abbot Kinney in Venice, California. Felix Trattoria embodies a philosophy of seasonality, warm hospitality and the deeply rooted culinary traditions of regional Italy.

Janet Zuccarini
Janet is the founder and CEO of Gusto 54 Restaurant Group – an acclaimed hospitality brand with award-winning restaurants across North America. Through strategic real estate acquisition and key partnerships, Janet scaled Gusto 54 from one to ten unique concepts entirely independently with unmarked success. Celebrated both as neighborhood stalwarts and culinary destinations, Janet’s restaurants have been recognized for excellence in food, design, and experience. In particular, her Los Angeles-based restaurant Felix was lauded as Esquire’s “#1 Best New Restaurant in America," Eater LA’s “Restaurant of the Year,” and shortlisted as a finalist for the James Beard “Best New Restaurant 2018” award, in addition to being recognized in the 2019 Michelin California Guide.

Item Special Note

All orders are subject to a $.50 shipping and handling fee. This fee will be automatically added to your total purchase when the auction closes. Gift certificates will be sent via USPS or emailed if applicable. If you win an item and would like it mailed via certified insured mail, please email auction@friendsofwalgrove.com by March 28, 2025, and we will do so at your expense. If you would like to pick up an item, please contact us by March 28th, otherwise, we will ship your item.

Larger items can be picked up in Los Angeles, CA, or shipped at the winning bidder's expense via USPS Priority Mail. $11 for large envelopes, $21 for medium boxes, $27 for large boxes. Some items do not fit into these categories and you will be notified. We will try to use the smallest package size we can. We will insure packages when shipping; however, Friends of Walgrove is not responsible for items lost in the mail.

Walgrove Community: A pick-up option is available. The pick-up date at Walgrove Elementary is Friday, March 28th, from 8 am to 10 am. The location will be provided for Tuesday, April 1st pick-up from 5-7 pm.
