Item Description

Paperback, 1973. Concord, MA, Women's Parrish Association

"In the year 1635, a little band of men, women and children (about 12 families in all) came slowly through the bogs and woods to found a new home in what would be the first inland settlement. They called the place Concord, Massachusetts. This booklet tells about some of the people and history of that town. Much of the material is from precious old letters and documents from attics where they are in danger of being destroyed by fire or neglect. the material was presented in a series of five-minute talks at the Women's Parish Association meetings, on some of the more dramatic or amusing incidents in Concord's past. Because so many people requested copies, this booklet has been printed in the hope that it will bring pleasure to lovers of history, and to those whoare fond of Old Concord, Massachusetts..."
