Item Description
Ceramic
18" x 15" x 7"
John Fazzino's two loves are gardening and clay, both involving the earth. His work incorporates the elements of the garden into his hand-built sculptures and functional objects. John has taught ceramics, both wheel throwing and hand-building on the college level, as well as at adult art class outlets, including The Cranston Artist's Exchange and The Steelyard. He received his BFA from RISD and MFA from UMass Dartmouth.
"Wall Shelf" is a hand-built freestyle sculptural form with glaze in multiple firings. It will sit on the wall by two holes in the back which will be placed over two nails/screws properly spaced. The contrasting glazes of the body of the piece in browns, blacks, and highlights of orange and white, compared to the top with swirling blues and whites with some black create a visual counterpoint for any home.
