Item Description
Three bottles of our family's Swiss wines: Chasselas, Findling, and Gamaret-Garanoir. Presented in our handmade wooden boxes with a card and wine key. These three wines fully embody Swiss wine. "Légende" is an assemblage of Gamaret and Garanoir, which are derived from a Swiss cross of Gamay and Recheinsteiner and are only grown in Switzerland. A full body wine similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, with less spice and more fruit, is best enjoyed decanted and with a meal.
The Gamay was brought over by my great grandfather, Edmond Ramu, in 1936 and has since taken a grip on the most popular red varietal next to Pinot Noir. A beautiful ruby medium-light bodied red. Findling is a derivative of the Swiss grape Muller-Thurgau, it has a stonefruit nose with a surprisingly dry, earthy, and citrus palate. A complex white wine that can be served alone or with a meal.
Imported by Domaine Dardagny, a Swiss wine import company focused on representing the historic family vineyards of Switzerland. The Ramu family has been making wine for over 400 years outside of Geneva in Dardagny and it is our pleasure to share our family's wine with the United States for the first time.
