Item Description

The Tin Building is a sprawling culinary emporium that houses fresh markets, bakeries, butchers and food purveyors from every corner of the globe. Erected on the site of the legendary Fulton Fish Market, it's the vision of world-renowned chef Jean-Georges. Nestled in the heart of the historic Seaport District, it's surrounded by cobblestone streets, quaint shops and jaw-dropping views of lower Manhattan. This special area can become your very own gourmet playground and features a Private Tour that will be exclusively created to satisfy your secret cravings and unique appetite. Tour is approximately 5 hours in length. This Festival of Trees Auction Item is for you and one guest.

Package includes a pre-tour consultation to set your itinerary. Upon arrival in Manhattan, you'll be met by your personal gourmet guides and the day will begin with a ferry ride down the entire length of the East Side of Manhattan (with spectacular views of the Empire State Building, the United Nations and other landmarks). Once you arrive at The Tin Building, your guides will whisk you and your guest off to mouth-watering and eye-opening adventures. Although your interests and the season will ultimately determine the itinerary, we might poke through cookbook collections at one of NYC's oldest book stores, sample some interesting vintages at a quaint wine shop or take a stroll through one of the city's most extravagant (and eccentric) bakeries. Along the way, we'll stop for lunch, enjoy a glass or two of wine or perhaps an espresso while we take in those magnificent harbor views and finally board the ferry for your return trip up the East River. You'll come home with armloads of the gourmet delicacies you've purchased, recipes to try out in your kitchen, and memories of a day you and your guest will never forget.
