Item Description
This 35” x 36” pictorial weaving shows Yei Be Chai Dancers singing the songs of the sandpainting with the patient inside the medicine hogan (left), the female donor offering the Navajo ceremonial basket filled with the healing sacred corn for the ceremony, the local people are there to support the sick patient, native sheep, an elder with his walking sticks and dog, their parked trucks, and all encircled by the “Mittens” of Monument Valley under the clouds.
