About the Artist
Alyson de Guigné is a proud fourth-generation California artist with deep roots in the Monterey Peninsula. Her artistic journey has taken her from the world of filmmaking to the realm of painting, reflecting her diverse creative talents.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Alyson has pursued careers in Los Angeles, London, and New York as an actor, screenwriter, and director. Following the production of her film, "The Walk," she transitioned into painting and hasn't looked back since.
Alyson is the owner of Carmel's Freedom Art, known for its line of greeting cards and other products found in stores across the country, including Whole Foods. Her fine art pieces grace numerous private collections throughout the United States.
As an artist and collaborator, Alyson's goal is to breathe life into spaces through her love for animals and nature. Drawing inspiration from the serenity of the Pacific Ocean, stormy skies, and the vibrant hues of aquatic life in the Monterey Peninsula, her work captures the essence of this picturesque region.
Fun Fact: Alyson's passion for the arts runs deep in her family as she is related to California artist Ansel Adams and New England artist Laura Coombs Hills. In her spare time, you might spot Alyson strolling along Carmel Beach with friends, leading as the President of Soroptimist International of Carmel Bay, or indulging her love for French Bulldogs.
