Item Description

"Grace"
By Monica Johnson
Fostered by Dogma

"Grace" is far more than a Labrador sculpture; it's a profound embodiment of love, connection, and the captivating charm of Carmel. "Grace" stands as an elegant Labrador sculpture, radiating charm and serenity. Beneath her layers of paint lies a poignant quote written on her back, capturing the essence of dogs' unconditional love and the serenity they bring to our lives. It reads, "Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring – it was peace." - Milan Kundera

Adding an artistic touch to this Labrador's form is a beautiful gold mandala on her back, symbolizing wholeness, unity, and harmony. This mandala reflects the artistic essence of the Carmel community, where art and nature intertwine seamlessly. Gracefully positioned on her chest and behind her, the lotus blossom symbolizes purity, enlightenment, and resilience—qualities that Carmel holds dear, fostering a harmonious coexistence between residents and their four-legged companions.

A message of friendship, unity, and tranquility. "Grace" serves as a poignant reminder that dogs occupy a cherished place in our hearts, offering solace and a profound sense of comfort. Her presence spreads the message of friendship, unity, and tranquility to all who encounter her. Wherever Grace finds her home, visitors are invited to take a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the simple pleasures of life, just as a beloved dog would.
