Princess Poodle was created to compete with the fashionable poodles that will gather on Poodle Day in Carmel. She has about 80 pink and red roses painted all over her body. She also has glass eyes, long eyelashes, and a tiara. She has her travelogue "Princess Poodle's Adventure: Around Carmel in 30 Days" on FB @edimatsumotofineart and IG @edimatsumoto.
About the Artist
Edi Matsumoto came to the U.S. 30 years ago and served the community as a family nurse practitioner before becoming a full-time artist and designer. Matsumoto is known for her realistic figures and portraits, and her work has won numerous awards. It has been shown at galleries and museums locally, nationally, and internationally including the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, the Triton Museum of Arts in Santa Clara, and Pacific Grove Art Center, and in prestigious art magazines, including Fine Art Connoisseur and American Art Collector.
She was named an A.R.C. Living Artists™ (A.R.C.L.A.) and an American Women Artists Member with Distinction.
