Description

Rare Unique Item (and AMAZING Gift for STAR TREK Fans).  (Or as an investment, since this Actor passed away in 2005 - so will never again create new Autographs.)  James Doohan (who lived 1920-2005) played the popular role of "Montgomery Scott" in the 1960's Original Star Trek TV Series and in many "Star Trek" Films.  (He was also one of the original Creators of the KLINGON and VULCAN Languages!)  The Autograph is 100% REAL (and can be authenticated, as you can see in our photos and the other Star Trek Items owned by a Collector, who donated them to this H2O Planet Fundraising Auction).

James has signed a RARE PROMOTIONAL CARD.  (While easy to find Autographs on generic cast photos, you'll rarely ever find them on specially-created Promotional Items like this Game Card.)  This Promo Card was designed for the new 1994 Collectible Card Game "Star Trek Customizable Card Game", created by Decipher Games and based on the Star Trek Universe.  (In the 1990's, the game was more popular than "Magic The Gathering" and has been out of print for many years.)  This special Promotional Card was created and distributed ONLY to Retail Game Store Owners, and ONLY at the 1995 Gen Con Game Convention in Milwaukee (where James Doohan offered the opening address and signed Autographs for only ONE HOUR (on ONE single day, in 1995).

The Donor of this item to our Auction attended the 1995 Gen Con Convention and met James Doohan (see printed ad in photos) - as well as meeting many other Star Trek and Star Wars Celebrities for Autograph Sessions.  This Autographed Card is in Mint Condition and has never been played.  It is standard "Playing Card Size" (3.5" high, 2.5" wide, and flat)  James Doohan's Signature is very clean and clear.  This Item can be shipped NATIONALLY to Winning Bidder (with added insurance) or may be picked up for FREE after the Auction (at Enfield Scuba in Enfield, Connecticut).  Sci-Fi Fans are encouraged to also check out the other "Star Trek / Star Wars" Collectibles (and additional Celebrity Autographs) offered in this week's Shark Conservation Auction.
