Description

Watercolor

16" x 12" x 1"

Margo Lemieux has always been an artist. Her career has included such paths as children's book illustrator, photo stylist, tee shirt artist, publication designer, university professor, handmade artist book maker, and recently art ambassador, when she coordinated an exhibit of Boston Printmakers prints at the DaNang Fine Arts Museum in Vietnam. She is a member of Full Tilt Print Studio, Dedham, MA. In addition, she has had poetry included in a chapbook and a number of anthologies.

This painting was completed at the village of Titicut Green in Middleboro, MA, which had once been the site of a Wampanoag village. Archeological digs there have unearthed artifacts dating back thousands of years. The deep history of this spot was present in the trees, rocks and earth on that glorious and peaceful autumn day.
